Basko orthotics and bandages - SPL2 revolutionizes knee orthotics
A small revolution in the lower extremities is the "Swing Phase Lock 2 (SPL 2)" knee joint - a product of the brand name "Neuro-Orthotics" that Basko Healthcare has developed. This product line is specifically intended for patients with functional limitations to be compensated due to previous neurological disorders. After a stroke, e.g., the thigh muscles can become paralyzed, as a result of which the patient can no longer actively stretch the knee. Unfortunately to this day, the knee joint is often still rigidly fixed with a conventional orthosis to be able to load the leg again. As a result, the patient is indeed mobile, but during walking the stiff leg has to move prominently laterally. The SPL 2 knee joint takes you to next level: with a technically clever and sophisticated system, the hinge offers the possibility of automatic locking and unlocking. This allows the patient to swing his leg in a safe and natural way while walking - despite the disability - and thus achieves a harmonious and largely natural walking pattern.

Basko Healthcare wants you to be completely satisfied. That is why we offer so-called trial adaptations as a special service for our customers. We understand: every patient has very individual needs and requirements. It can therefore be useful to try out products first.
This is how it works: you tell us the current condition of the patient and what the intended objectives are. Then we make an appointment and a colleague from Basko Healthcare visits you with a selection of products. Together with you and the patient, we do a no-obligation trial fit and we issue an advice. Of course it is also possible to request test orthoses yourself to try them together with your patient.
